About Doxology Creed
The ancient creeds of the church have provided a sturdy framework for belief for centuries, yet it's easy for these profound declarations to remain in our heads without engaging our hearts. "Doxology Creed" emerged from a two-year wrestling with this challenge: how might we craft a song that transforms intellectual assent into heartfelt worship?
We structured the song intentionally—each verse explores a different person of the Trinity, creating a comprehensive journey through the core tenets of Christian faith. The Father's creative power and expansive care, the Son's redemptive sacrifice and triumphant resurrection, and the Spirit's sustaining presence and transformative work unfold verse by verse.
The bridge serves as the climactic confession of the song, where personal belief ("I believe, believe") builds into a sweeping declaration of God's attributes and the hope of resurrection. From acknowledging God as "alpha and omega" to yearning for His return, the bridge captures both the intimacy and vastness of faith before culminating in the repeated "holy, holy, holy" of heavenly worship.
While creating a new melody for most of the song, we intentionally incorporated the classic doxology tune for the final line: "praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost." This musical touchpoint creates an immediate sense of recognition and connects worshippers to generations of Christians, anchoring our new expression in something deeply familiar.
In a world that feels increasingly fragmented and unsteady, there is something profoundly stabilizing about declaring these ancient truths and responding in praise. Truth becomes not just something we affirm but something we experience.
We offer "Doxology Creed" as a bridge between the ancient and the new, between mind and heart, between what we believe and how we worship. Our hope is that as congregations sing these words together, they might not only voice their deepest beliefs but also experience the joy that comes from praising the God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Lyrics
VERSE 1
I will hope in the Father
Filled with bountiful love
Forming heaven and nature
Feeding life from above
Who can fathom his greatness
And his thundering might?
Yet I'm safe in his arms now
For I am his delight
VERSE 2
What a wonder that Jesus
Came to heal and to save
Bearing sin and its suff'ring
To the sting of the grave
Then he rose up in vict'ry
He arose to the sky
Now he reigns till he comes again
Where the joy never dies
CHORUS 1
Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise him all creatures here below
Praise him above all you heav'nly hosts...
VERSE 3
What a gift of the Spirit
Sent to help and assure
Praying for me with groaning
How I need every word
Giving life to a stone heart
Giving life to the church
Now the pow'r of redemption
Breathing heaven on earth
CHORUS 2
Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise him all creatures here below
Praise him above all you heav'nly hosts
Praise Father Son and Holy Ghost
BRIDGE
I believe believe, O triune God of love
I believe believe, You are merciful and just
I believe your redemption
I believe that death will die
And I will see resurrection
Unto everlasting life
You are the alpha the omega
Beginning and the end
With all creation we're yearning —
Oh Yahweh come again!
Yours is the kingdom and the wisdom
And the power evermore
Yours is the beauty and the glory
We will endlessly adore
You are holy — holy, holy holy
You are holy — holy, holy holy
