ABOUT THE SONG

About All Will Be Well

This song is written from the perspective of Jesus waking up to new life in the tomb on Easter morning. He walks over to the door of the tomb and gazes out over the grieving world where his friends and followers are stricken with disappointment and sorrow. Yet his resurrection is the ultimate proof that his message is true. He has come to undo all wrongs, reverse all sadness, and even end death itself. It is in this confidence that he looks out of that tomb door and proclaims the comforting words: "all will be well."

Lyrics

VERSE 1:

I woke robed in death but crowned in life

I spoke the stone obeyed and rolled aside

And behold from the tomb I now arise

VERSE 2:

My heart beats again with living blood

My scars proclaim a new age has begun

And my arm brings the breaking of the dawn

CHORUS:

Let every heart sing

All will be well

Let every lung breathe

All will be well

I'm alive I have won

See the grave I overcome

Joy is rising up forever

VERSE 3:

Don't fear my presence makes the shadows flee

I am here the head of darkness beneath my feet

Dry your tears morning comes to mend your grief

CHORUS

BRIDGE

It is finished but it's only just begun

All will be well

It's only just begun

All will be well

It's only just begun

All will be well

CHORUS 2:

Let every heart sing

All will be well

Let every lung breathe

All will be well

I'm alive I have won

Now the sting of death is gone

Joy is rising up forever

Rising up forever

All will be well

All will be well

All will be well

All will be well
